Blissful tide of Ramadan

Bliss of Ramadan

Although our aim aim is to see the sun sending shimmering beam of light to ease the gloom of darkness, and cluster beauty to nature. Today marks the first day in the holiest month in the Islamic calendar — I'm excited, Alhamdulilah.

The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful...  Al Baqarah 2: 185

However, Ramadan is the most sacred month for Muslims with fasting — one of the most important and productive worship that can not be blemished with hypocrisy. This glorious month attributed by supplication and spiritual elevation through fasting — this virtuous month (Ramadan) brings sound of Quran being read and Iman(Faith).

Ramadan is a apex month of the year for Muslims during which we are encouraged and admonished to turn back to Allah with huge manifolds of dua(supplication) to attain spiritual height and oblige to Allah and Prophet teaching.

In furtherance, Muslims should be rational, using this fortune time to step away from our routines filled with worldly occupations and have to submit to Allah's injunctions — Allah praised the month of Ramadan out of the  other months by chosing it send to reveal the Quran; a guidance for mankind and clear proof  between right and wrong —  It's a month we have to familiarize and get closer to the reading and recitation of the Quran, learn more about Islam teachings, strive to express our gratitude to Him, and the ability to change from our previous negative lifestyle using the gift of reasons Allah has given us.

In conclusion, the essence of Ramadan is to rethink, relearn and reform our ways, to commit ourselves to God-consciousness in this month and beyond.

As it begins, I pray and hope we do our best to mark a success story from the glorious month. May Allah count us among those who will witness more Ramadan on health  and grant us the ability to do good deeds (Ameen) 🤲🏾
